Anthro LXIII by charcoal-almighty Anthro LXIII by charcoal-almighty
Crikey....this took a while...:dead:

Anywho, this is my interpretation of a Pangolin anthro, specifically the Tree Pangolin.

I didn't put many accessories, because of all the scales, so it's just minimal. Pangolins don't usually have those kind of eyes, but I just went with it anyway.

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about how it came out....I messed up with the shading of the tail, I started losing perspective of the lighting and everything. I do not know how to draw trees....:stare:

Let me know what you think. :thanks:

Done in pencil and pen, (18x24 inches, white cartridge paper).

HOLY COW!!! I cannot believe the amount of detail in this!! I can understand why you were saying it took so long. Shading each and ever scale... holy cow! Seriously, though, this is incredible. And I looove the tree! The texture just looks so rough and bumpy and I just want to TOUCH IT!!! -flail-

Haha, thank you so much. I'm happy you like it! :happybounce:

It was starting to get tedious shading those scales, you can probably tell that by the time I got to the tail I was losing my focus and precision, haha, ^^;. I'm glad to know you think the tree's okay, to be honest, I'm okay with the way it looks, but it wasn't what I was actually going for to begin with, lmao. But hey, I just gotta practice it more. :)

way cool! nice job on the shading. I always think those are extinct because they are such strange little things.

Thank you so much. :thanks:

Haha, you have a point there. They're such unique and prehistoric looking creatures, it really does feel like they're from a different time. I do adore all animals in the anteater family, they're such odd but lovable animals. Full of character. :)
