Anthro LI by charcoal-almighty Anthro LI by charcoal-almighty
Finally! I drew something, ^^;, I hadn't drawn all summer, but now that school is about to start I need to get working again. :meow: I am rusty though....:paranoid:

This is supposed to be my interpretation of a lion and lynx hybrid, thank you to :iconleonmathews: for the idea.

I tried to make the face a mix in terms of shape, so it's not as small as a lynx but not as long as a lion. Then there's the lion mane, lynx body markings. Decided to give it a Native American look-ish...

I don't think I can do any shading if I draw something with this detail....I'll have to do simpler drawings if I wanna practice shading....oh well.....:)

Done in pencil and pen.

Ohhhh, I love it!! I really love how you managed to mix the two breeds. Weirdly, I think this is really close to how a hybrid would actually look. They're in the same family, so it's not a super extreme hybrid, but I feel that makes it work so much more! It's a bit more possible. Well, looking past the anthro aspect of it.

Still, I adore the whole look. Really, really awesome work. I see no rust on this piece! ;D

Haha, why thank you. :happybounce:

Yeah the fact that they're from the same family of animals means that the mixtures had to be more about the shape of the face mostly...and the rest is easier to mingle. :)

Would you mind if I colored this in my spare time...? It's just so awesooomely inspiring!
